It Took Me 707 Fish to Get the Pulled From the Depths Achievement

Holy Carp! I love the Apocrytha zone. There are so many great furnishing recipes I’ve found there. Not to mention all the tentacles! As a monster girl, this is my idea of heaven. BUT! The Pulled from the Depths achievement was a BEAST! to get. Even paired with the Arteaum Pickled Fish Bowl buff, the additional bonuses from Sharp as Night, and the fishing buffs from the Champion bar.

It took me 707 fish to get this achievement. Yes, you read that right. SEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVEN FISH! That’s not even counting the folios I fished up nor the copious amounts of fish furnishings. Seriously, I have so many of fish furnishings that I’m going to design a farm with their little tails sticking up all in a row. Mah fish farm! (I’m really doing this.)

I had almost given up hope, but on the third night somewhere between the hours of midnight and waaaay too late am, it finally happened! I squealed in delight, okay it was in fright, but after 707 times of clicking the little X button you get pretty zoned out. In no way was I prepared for a giant lurker to jump out and attack me. My poor heart. But then it happened and the beautiful Pulled From the Depths achievement notification popped up on my screen. Thank fucking carp.

I’m not gonna lie. I do love fishing, but that achievement drove me nuts. Up side, though, was that I ended up getting 10 perfect roe out of the 555 filet-able fish. Which, if you use the traders, you’ll know that’s some nice coin right there. Anyway, I’m taking a break from fishing in the Apocrytha zone for now. Enjoy the pictures and let me know what’s been your most elusive fish in the comments!
